1. Clear all your doubts beforehand
You will have to speak to a fertility expert if you have any underlying health issues. Get enough knowledge about IVF procedures. Don’t hesitate to ask questions and look for a specialized IVF center with the latest technology.
2. Get fit
If you are going for IVF treatment, you will have to improve your fitness levels to manage the odds of IVF success. You will need to follow a dedicated fitness routine as suggested by the expert.
It will be imperative for you to exercise for at least half-an-hour on a daily basis for around five days a week. You need to exercise under the guidance of a fitness trainer who will monitor your movements. Also, avoid rigorous workouts.
Regular physical activity will enhance your overall well-being, reduce stress and anxiety. You will also be able to maintain an optimum weight and keep obesity at bay. Moreover, the functioning of the ovaries will improve and that can increase the chances of conception. Moreover, men who exercise regularly tend to have better sperm morphology.
3. Take care of your diet
If you love to eat junk or processed foods, then it is the right time to give them up. It is a known fact that a healthy, well-balanced diet is essential to improve good tissue function.
It will be imperative for you to include fresh fruits, vegetables and good protein in the diet. Avoid pizzas, pasta, chips, French fries, burgers, sugary drinks and sweets. Eating antioxidant-rich foods improves the egg quality and sperm parameters too. So, stick to healthy eating habits that can do wonders for your health.
4. Follow a proper sleep routine
Wish to stay calm and happy? Then adhere to a good sleep schedule. Try to get at least eight hours of sleep on a daily basis to rejuvenate yourself and heal the body.
5. Reproductive and couple counselling
This is important before initiating an IVF treatment. Counseling will help you overcome stress during an IVF treatment. You will be able to cope in a better way and strengthen the bond with your partner.
6. Prenatal vitamins
You will be asked to take folic acid before undergoing IVF treatment. Take it as per the instructions of your doctor.
7. Quitting cigarettes and alcohol
You will have to kick off these vices in order to have a successful IVF treatment as it impacts the quality of eggs and sperm. Quitting cigarettes and alcohol will also be beneficial for your baby’s health.
8. Improve sperm health
You can speak to your doctor regarding various ways to naturally enhance the sperm count. Try to eat leafy green vegetables, maintain a healthy weight, wear loose boxers and avoid substance abuse.
